01 Sep Reimagining Eggrolls: A Great Way for Asian Restaurants to Expand Their Menu
When it comes to Asian restaurants in the United States, especially Chinese restaurants, you will almost always find egg rolls on the menu. Most take a very traditional approach, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
At Golden Tiger, we are always looking for ways to improve our products and respond to consumer demand, and since egg rolls are such a popular item we decided to reimagine what they are and explore what they could be.
On our search, we tested a wide variety of ideas and are very happy to have created new variations that are now being served at restaurants throughout the country. For example, our Southwestern-style chicken egg rolls that are filled with chicken, spinach, whole black beans, corn, red bell pepper, and pepper jack cheese.
Another very tasty creation is our gourmet vegetable egg roll which kicks things up a notch. These egg rolls are stuffed with a blend of fresh vegetables including water chestnuts, green beans, bamboo shoots, and shiitake mushrooms.
Aside from what resides inside an egg roll, also be sure to think about the endless possibilities when it comes to dipping sauces. The point is, classics are always good though it’s also good to understand your customers and create unique dishes they’ll love and return for.
